In math we did a lab to explore lengths effect on perimeter. Students used L + L + W + W = P to calculate the perimeter of runways for Antopolis.
In social studies we mapped the Santa Fe Trail. It is always fun to "travel" through Kansas and hear the towns friends, family, and grandparents live in along the trail.
Reading was a discussion about goals. We watched the video clips below and listened to A Chair for My Mother to create a list of what you do to set and reach goals. Don't give up! Write a goal! Get help! Students then wrote a reading goal for the month and set weekly goals to reach it.
Our spelling test will be Tuesday, Sept. 2nd. Be sure you are studying your words and using the spelling words in sentences.
