Conjunction Junction

This week we are discussing conjunctions, connecting words.  Students watched School House Rock and made a die with coordinating conjunctions.  Conjunctions can be used to create more complex thoughts, ideas, and sentences.


Here is an example from TS in class: Andy and I are going to go to the store BUT he has a football game. Andy and I are going to go to the store OR go to the football game. Andy and I are not going to go to the store NOR the football game. Andy and I are going to go to the store FOR the football game. Andy and I are going to go to the store SO we won't go to the football game. Andy and I are going to go to the store YET not the football game.
