Changing States of Matter
Today we discussed the states of matter and what happens at a molecular level in each state.
Solids--have mass (take up space), have weight, have shape
Liquids--have mass, have weight, change shape
Gases--have mass, have weight, do not have a shape
Here is a link to an animation of these states of matter. Next week we will do hands on centers to explore all 3 states of matter.
Tuesday students measured the length and width of solids. They also used balance scales to find the weight of solids.
