Creating Images and Understanding Character

Today we listened to "Sophie's Masterpiece" and drew the pictures of the images seen as the story was read. Creating images in our minds while reading helps with comprehension. We also discussed character and made inferences about the character. Making inferences involves using what the author tells you as well as things you alread know to make a decision. Would you be friends with the character, why or why not? Below is the story we used.
