This 9-weeks we have been learning about erosion. Erosion is the process of the Earth being moved through wind, water, ice or vegetation. Students used many labs to explore these concepts as well as think of solutions to erosion. Our unit test will be Tuesday, December 13th. Check out the study guide here.
This week the students used the engineering process to think about solutions to erosion. As a group, students tested, designed and wrote a report to explain how they would solve an erosion problem. They had a budget of $1000 to purchase trees (forks), barriers (lids), sand bags (cotton balls) or rock (rock). Check out our video presentations on possible solutions for soil and sand erosion.
