November Writing

This month we have been focusing on the trait of organization. Students have done activities to practice strong beginning and endings, organizing steps, and ordering directions. They wrote the steps for making a graham cracker sandwich. Ms. Rice followed the exact directions and we discussed what is necessary (specific instruction) for successful organization. Students also used the Hopscotch app on the iPads. This is a coding app for writing basic computer code. Students had to give directions in order to get their script to do what they wanted. Collaboration was helpful as students found success and shared their findings with others. Here are some pictures of our work.
