Addition and Subtraction of Large Numbers

We started unit 4 in math today. The students will work in groups to learn the concepts behind adding and subtracting. This week we are talking about base 10 and using number lines. Understanding these methods allows students to find ways to do larger addition and subtraction problems in their heads. Check out our animation to see the Base 10 Hopper Method (or number line).
