We have been using Fractured Fairy Tales from the old Rocky and Bullwinkle series to practice retell. Your student should be able to retell a story including the character, setting, plot (series of events), problem and resolution (end). We used different methods to practice this. Encourage your student to retell you chapters they are reading or picture books you enjoy together.
