States of Matter Fun

Today we continued exploring states of matter. We measured lenght, width, height and talked about physical properties. We used water displacement to find mass. We poured liquids to observe viscosity. We painted with kool-aid and ice. We found weight of geometric solids in grams. We heated wax to make crayons. It was a very busy morning. Here are some pictures of the fun. To continue learning at home try making kool-aid play-dough. This is one of my favorite homemade recipes. You do need to boil the water (so it will be hot when you mix the dough). It is successful without the alum if you do not have that in your pantry. Enjoy science!!!
