The Water Cycle

Today we learned about the water cycle and cloud formation. We created a troposphere (gray paper) and layered stratus (low, blanket like clouds) and the bottom using cotton balls. We then created a cumulus (large, white, puffy clouds) at the top using shaving cream. In groups students made a small water cycle with a cumulus cloud. Here is a fun song to remember the process. Click on this link to learn more about the layers of the atomsphere. Click on this link to see more types of clouds. Check out our fun exploration!
