Walk to Read

We started Walk to Read today.  The students are grouped according to their reading levels from the Rigby Reads Comprehension test.  Your student will be in a classroom from 1:55-3:10 daily with other students working on similar comprehension and decoding strategies.  This allows students to have reading groups and work on center tasks that meet their individual needs.  I may or may not have your child for their reading group.  Fourth grade teachers and the reading teachers communicate often about progress and skills in reading groups.  These groups will be evaluated often and students will continue to be placed where their needs are best met.  If you have questions about Walk to Read please let me know.
