Pumpkin Math
Each year the fourth grade students explore math concepts using pumpkins. The standards addressed are: Students will know relative sizes of measurement units, record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. Students will use the four operations to solve word problems involving liquid volumes, masses of objects, and represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale. If your family would be able to donate a pumpkin to our classroom please let me know. We will need these the week before Halloween (October 24-28th). Thank you for your support of our learning.
