Hitch Up Your Wagon

We have been learning about life on the Santa Fe Trail.  Today the students started mapping their journey west.  They will decide if they want to take the mountain route or the Cimarron Route.  The students enjoyed this activity.  Our objectives are to work on mapping skills and this also gives them practice plotting points which we will work on next week in math.  I will post some pictures of our adventure later.  Here is an online link to a trail map.  Enjoy!
