Working in groups is an important part of our classroom. Here the students were working on 3 different activities. For Language Arts, they wrote long vowel words and traded books to make lists of rhyming words together. For Social Studies, each group discussed and worked together to illustrate a phrase for The Preamble of the Constitution. For Writing, the students peer edited poems based on The Important Book. These were free form poems about themsleves.
