On September 28 at 6:30 pm in the WHS Auditorium, representatives from the Manhattan Boys and Girls Club will be here to present the parent's version of NetSmartz, which is Internet Safety program. We want to open this up to all parents of the district.
The primary focus is on
* Cyberbullying- preventing victimization and responding to aggressors
* Social Networking- creating safer profiles on websites such as Facebook and MySpace
* Texting- preventing the exchange of inappropriate messages and photographs
* Online Predators- teaching children and youth to not meet in person with anyone they first met online
* Spyware, spam and scams- protecting your identity from online exploitation
