4th graders should know their math facts for addition and subtraction with quickness and accuracy. Please be sure to have your student practice at home to maintain these skills. We will be working on many higher level activities in math this year. If your student is comfortable, accurate, and quick with adding and subtracting numbers, they will be able to use their thinking skills to focus on the problem, instead of focusing on the addition or subtraction.
