Flowers for Your Teacher
In science we are learning about plant systems. Next week we will dissect fruits, vegetables and flowers to learn about their structures and systems.
Monday we will be cutting open fruits and vegetables to see their seeds. If you have any produce from your garden we would happily take that. If you have something that is no longer fresh (not rotten) that will work. DO NOT GO BUY ANYTHING. This is for our gardeners and farmers who have extra produce.
I am also asking for a bouquet ;) It's not really for me though. We are in need of fresh flowers for science Tuesday. They do not have to be new fresh, but if anyone has flowers that they are done with or flowers in your garden we would love to take them. We will be dissecting the flowers to see the parts. The best flower types to dissect include lilies, tulips, daffodils, alstroemarias, and gladiolus. Avoid daisies, asters, calla lilies, roses, and iris, since their floral structure is not as easy to discern. DO NOT GO BUY FLOWERS. This is for our gardeners and those who have fresh flowers in their homes. We will happily take anything you can send. If they are on their way to the trash we are fine with that.
Thank you for supporting our learning!
