Setting Goals

This month we have been talking about setting goals for ourselves. I started running a year ago and in May I plan to run a half marathon. This has provided me with a concrete example to show the kids how to plan for a long term goal. Last week they set a goal for themselves for December. It was to be a goal that they would need to work at, but it should be attainable. Today we set up our plan for the week using the worksheet seen below. Each student broke their goal into weekly tasks. Please ask your student what their goal for December is and what they are doing this week to work towards that goal. We will set new goals in January.
