Pack Your Wagon

We have been studying the Santa Fe Trail in social studies.  Students have done activities to explore what settlers took on the trail, where the trail traveled, and what life was like during this time period.  Yesterday we began our study of the Oregon Trail.  To help decide what we would take on the trip we measured the wagon size outside.  We discovered a 4 foot by 12 foot wagon is not very large for hauling all of your stuff and moving your family to Oregon.
